Just for you, Sam

In honor of Sam and his big surgery today, Abby had her hair cut to donate to someone in need.

So proud of my girl!!

And, Sam's surgeon was able to get 90-95% of the tumor. Praise the Lord!

We will know more later after pathology and another MRI.

But, we thank God for bringing Sam through thus far and trust Him to carry Sam through this storm.

Thank you for the prayers!

Please Join Me In Prayer

I want to introduce you to a very special young man.
I first met Sam several years ago when he came with a local youth group to volunteer at Hope Hollow.

Sam and my oldest daughter, Abby, hit it off immediately and remain very close friends to this day.

Yesterday, Sam was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
He will have surgery on Monday to relieve the pressure on his brain and hopefully the surgeon will be able to biopsy the tumor so that a plan of action can be established.

PLEASE join with me in prayer for a complete healing of Sam.
PLEASE pray for the surgery on Monday and that the surgeon is able to take a biopsy.
PLEASE pray that the biopsy will show a tumor that will react with radiation.
PLEASE also pray for Sam's precious parents, Ken and Holly, and for Sam's two adoring sisters, Abigail and Mary Kate.

Sam's mom said his favorite verse is Philippians 4:13.
"I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!"
Amen!

God's Promises

I am so thankful for God's promises!

What about you?

What has God revealed to you lately?

His mercies are new every day!

The Lord blessed me with planting a dream in my heart 5 years ago to start a camp for children with disabilities.

He has been faithful through it all!

I am thrilled that even though our family is moving due to the hubby's job, that my family will still be able to have an active role in this wonderful ministry!

I will be returning in the summers to lead the summer camps!! And another great blessing is that my kids will be able to serve alongside me!

Here was the rainbow promise that God painted over Hope Hollow last night!

Stop by Hope Hollow's Facebook Page to see what we are all about.

We have a blast!!

Praise God for blessings and rainbows!!

On The Move and other news...

Our family is on the move.

Not too far.

Just an hour and a half north.

Still in the beautiful deep south, although very hot and muggy currently.

This is our new view.

This view is familiar, yet new all at the same time.

I grew up seeing this view about once a month or so.

This is the view from the front porch of my grandmother's house.

She was one of my most favorite people to walk this earth.

A true selfless person who always thought of others first.

Thanks to the generosity of my mom, our family has the priveledge of living in this house I love.

My grandmother was an inspiration to many and I feel it a great honor to live in the house where she raised her family. I just know that she is smiling down from above as she watches us scurry around to try and fit our large family in a fairly small space.

To know the full story and how the puzzle pieces fit together so perfectly reassures us that this is all in God's plan for our family.

And, now for the news.....

Mike and I had been feeling the tug about adding another child to our family, but we both knew with the demands of running Hope Hollow full time that it just wasn't the right time.

But, now that I will have more time to be a full-time mom again, the thought came up time and time again.

So, without further ado.

Please meet the newest addition to our family...

Miss Emma Claire is 2 years old and waiting for us in China.

Since we are at the very beginning stages of the adoption process, we still have much time ahead of us before we meet our sweet baby face to face.

But, for now, we pray. We pray for her health. We pray for her heart to be softened and to know that she already has a family who loves her very much.

Would you join us in praying for our newest little one?

There is another way that you can join us in our journey, as well.

As most of you know, adoption can be very expensive.

So, we are having an ipad giveaway to jumpstart our fundraising efforts.

You can find out more information HERE.

All donations made through Project Hopeful are tax deductible and will be paid directly to our agency for adoption expenses.

We thank you for your support and are excited for you to join us in this journey.
