A Clean Slate

Well, I have been blogging for a period of about 3 years.
I decided to have a book made of my previous blog posts so that our family would always have these special memories tucked away.

Therefore, I decided it was a good time to wipe the slate clean.

Who doesn't like a fresh, new start?

I sure do!

So, here goes....

We will begin this journey into the blog world again with an update.

ABBY
Maylee & SD absolutely adore Abby!
Even thought it is still so incredibly hard for me to believe, our Abby will be graduating from high school in just a couple of months!
We are so proud of the young lady she is becoming.
Abby still plays the piano beautifully and sings with the Madrigals at her school.
Plans are made for the fall and they include attending college and rooming with a very dear friend.
I can't wait to see how God will continue to work in Abby's life.
He has big plans for her!

HEIDI
Already a teenager!
Our Heidi just had a monumental birthday...
She is officially a teenager!
That's right, Heidi is 13 years old and you better believe it!
Heidi began 7th grade this year at a new school and has loved every single minute of it.
She has played on the basketball team and is currently participating in track and doing very well.
God continues to stir Heidi's heart for orphans.
It will be exciting to see how He continues to mold her heart to do something big for Him one day!

 BENNETT
Bennett, the great imagineer!
Our Bennett is in the 3rd grade this year and continues to excel in all subjects.
His incredible mind amazes us daily.
Bennett loves to build and take apart.....and build again.
Cubscouts is his favorite and keeps him and daddy pretty busy.
Bennett is Mr. Tenderhearted!
He is such an amazing big brother to Maylee & Sam David.
He is always so patient with both of them and loves to spend time playing with them.

MAYLEE
Maylee, the courageous!
Maylee is now 5 years old! Oh my, did I just say 5 years old?
Really hard to believe!
She has endured so much over the past 2 years with multiple surgeries, but always amazed us with her endurance.
Maylee is currently going to physical therapy twice a week and doing just grand.
She loves to wear pretty dresses and have her hair fixed just right.

SAM DAVID
Sam David, BUSY-BODY!
Wow! Sam David!
This little bitty pint size of a boy has brought more energy and excitement into our home than we ever thought was possible!
He continues to do well and does not let anything slow him down.
He loves his bright green wheelchair with light-up wheels.
Wheelies are his favorite!
I sometimes think that Sam David's motto is: The Dirtier, The Better!

That about sums things up for now, or at least gets us a little more up-to-date.

Of course, a busy weekend awaits us.

I have the honor of being a presenter at a Special Needs Ministry conference this Saturday.

I will be leading a break-out session on the topic of Adoption & Special Needs.
I pray that minds will be open and hearts will be touched.

Just wanted to say hi. We have an 8 month old with SB and have always had a heart for adoption. The Lord continues to open my heart more and more about a special needs adoption. I will enjoy reading your blog. God Bless
